Consulting is offered Online, through Group Sessions and One on One
The first question that most folks will ask is: how did you become a land management consultant doing what you do? This is our story to answer that question and help you see if we are the right consultants for you.
Back in 2009 while managing a grass based dairy in North Central Nebraska, we started a conference with some other good men that shared our passion for healthy food, healthy animals, healthy land and healthy people. Today, the Grassfed Exchange continues to thrive.
Restore the Land is on-the-ground training and private consulting services for land managers. It has grown organically out of my past work: personal experience first, the Grassfed Exchange conference, The Grassfed Network (our online training service) and private consulting clients. These efforts all revolve around building healthy soil and ultimately restoring the land so it can sustainably and profitably provide for you, livestock, wildlife and your community. The bottom line goal is to increase your profits. Whether you need a grassfed consultant or land management consultant, we are here to help.
Desertification is defined as the increase of bare ground and it is a global problem as you can see from the map above. Most land owners do not realize the bare ground between plants is a sign of desertification. In Texas, it is common to see bare ground quickly covered by cactus and cedar or mesquite, while at the same time, the forages vanish. This phenomenon is common around the world, where the invasive plant species take over and forages (mostly grasses) diminish. No matter how you look at it or where you live, desertification is more often than not, changing the landscape at a rapid pace. (Those in tropical climates see less of this.) I know this may sound depressing to you, but there’s good news! We can work together to stop desertification and we join with many others around the world doing the same thing. This work is exciting and soul satisfying.
Our mission at Restore the Land is simple and has three important, inter-dependent parts.
We work with you as a land manager to:
Create and increase profits by building healthy soil
Produce healthy plants to grow healthy animals &
Enrich your overall community
